Premarital counseling was conducted in association with Centre for Minority Youth, Ponnani.
During the month of January 2021, the Women Development Cell addressed the students of the college in their respective class room on WDC, its importance and its role in the colleges. Students were also informed about the members in the WDC committee whom they could approach for support and guidance. The core committee was also formed
In the first week of January, a premarital counseling was conducted in association with Centre for Minority Youth, Ponnani. The main objective of the premarital counseling is to helps the students to improve the communications between the partners and set realistic goals for marriage. It also helps to develop conflict-resolution skills. A positive attitude is established between the couples with the help of premarital counseling.
The programme was conducted in four days. Following topics were handled in these days

Financial management (09:30 to 12:30) Abdul Gafoor
Legal aspects (01.30pm to 04:30pm) adv. Shamsudheen
Marriage and other relationship (09:30am to 12:30pm) Suharabi.
Social problems (01.30pm to 04.30pm) - Suharabi
With women empowerment as its main agenda, Sathwika Women Development Cell in association with IQAC organized an interactive session with girl students under the name ‘Saghi’ on 14th January 2021 at college auditorium. Prof.Nandakumar C.P, staff secretary of college welcomed all to the function. The Programme was presided by the WDC coordinator Prof.Maya.C (HOD, Department of Commerce). Prof.N Abdul Hameed, Principal of the college, inaugurated the program. He remarked actual woman empowerment will be achieved through better education, political freedom, Social freedom, emotional strength and financial independence of women. The chief guest of the day was Ms.Nisari Menon, writer and vlogger. It was a nice interaction with students that helped them to be highly motivated and they shared their experiences about the problems and challenges faced in the society. The major outcome of the programme is to empower female students and to make them explore the opportunities ahead. Also to make them understand about the importance of gender equality. Prof.Rajendrakumar, Vice principal of the college and Prof. John Joseph Academic coordinator delivered their felicitations. Ms.Mubeena P M (Asst. Professor, Department of Management Studies) expressed the vote of thanks.
